Paul Marston Racing are pleased to announce that very shortly you will see Paul Marston appear on the entry for Easter at Santa Pod Raceways MSA opening event in Super Gas and Super Street. Paul Marston himself will be driving at the opener with entries from the stable appearing in various classes as the season pans out. Including the inaugural No Prep Doorslammer Nationals at North Weald Dragstrip 2nd July. UK Top Sportsman at the mighty Mopar Euronationals 28th-30th July and other MSA National Event dates.
Super Gas is where Paul cut his teeth, competing against what was then the very best doorslammer drivers. This is where Paul won his first National Event, so in some ways its like coming home. When asked Paul Marston had this to say:’ With all the effort that Jon Giles has put into securing such a great sponsor, the class needs racers to show their appreciation of this, which is why I will be competing in Super Gas this season. Just as it was before, the class is chock full of some very tough racers and teams. To win in Super Gas you most certainly have to earn it. Sure the money helps, but I am excited about the new challenge of running a Pro Tree again. Plus its an event field, no Dragsters, just Doorslammers and the occasional Roadster.
I will also be supporting Super Street, it’s a great class and as I played my part in getting the double header at the two FIA rounds for Super Street agreed by the SPRC and with the blessing of Santa Pod Raceway. I thought it only fair that I run that class too.’
Paul Marston Racing will be running the 100% Whoopass Chevy Monza to kick the season off, but don’t be surprised to see a change of Racecar as the season progresses and the debut of a purpose built Super Class doorslammer.
There has been regrettably, the loss of some of the PMR Super Crew over the off season. But the brain trust stays intact and there will be some new additions introduced as the season progresses. At present all the crew are hard at it prepping everything to be 100% ready for the 2017 season. All the behind the scenes work that makes the team tick, as long as the weather plays ball we will be ready. So please stop by and say hello at Easter.
